What is Alprofil offering / doing?

We are a company which designs and assembles individual frameworks for our customers, e.g. protecting covers, work stations etc. Our range of services includes the design and engineering of your solution as well as the assembly – in our workshop or even on site.

Why should I buy a framework made of aluminum profiles instead of a welded product?

If you are having large quantities of the same product, a welded solution might actually pay off for you. However, an Alprofil framework offers you a better price-performance ratio when

  • quantities are smaller (less than 100 of the same frame per year),
  • frames need to be adapted eventually and
  • you need short delivery time.
I need a protection cover for my machine, but I do not have any plans or drafts for it. Can you help me out?

What kind of profiles are you offering?

Basically, we do work with two profile systems – and the two most common ones on the market at that. For further information, please contact us directly.

Can I buy your products individually in order to assemble them myself?

Certainly. Please use this link to our web shop (see section below) or this link to contact us.

However, for more complex applications and/or if you are not experienced with profile assembly, we heavily recommend that you contact us to do the assembly. We are offering very competitive hourly rates, and we do have the experience how to do the job. Spending some more now may save you larger costs later on!

Do you make or buy your products?

Our profiles are being manufactured in different sites within Switzerland and the neighboring countries, but with our own tools. The other parts are being purchased at Swiss and European companies.

I need a profile designed especially for my needs. Do you offer that?


Yes, but please be aware of the fact that there might be a minimum quantity to purchase. However, if you are having needs for our other products and services, we can offer you special designs even at lower quantities. Please contact us so that we can look at that together.



Why should I buy your products in Switzerland, when European competitors are much cheaper?

We are striving not to be the cheapest supplier, but an integrated “solution provider” which grants you the best possible price-performance ratio – cheaper doesn’t always mean less expensive in the end.

However, since we are buying large quantities of aluminum, we can offer you a very good pricing on our profiles. Since the aluminum price is being calculated in US dollars instead of Euro, we are quite independent of the CHF-EUR currency exchange rate. Furthermore, all price advantages from our suppliers are directly being given to you. Our philosophy is that customer satisfaction turns into profitability and secure jobs for our team, and not vice versa.


Web Shop

The old web shop is no longer in operation. What do I need to do in order to continue shopping?

We are terribly sorry, but in order to improve our internet marketing, we needed to switch our strategic partner. However, we do have your coordinates. Feel free to contact us so that we can provide you with your login information.

Can I pay by credit card?

At this moment, it is not yet possible to pay by credit card since the majority of our customers are commercial ones and still need their classic bill for accounting.

However, if the demand for credit card payment raises, we will establish such a solution. If you are interested, we would be glad if you could tell us.

How long do shipments normally take?

If we have a part on stock (which is normally the case), we will ship the goods within one to max. three working days; however, if we need to do some processing (e.g. cutting, drilling, milling of profiles, cutting surface elements), it may take some more time. However, we will provide you with the delivery time with the confirmation of our order.

I can’t find a part in the web shop that you are having in the catalogue.

We are still adding items to our web shop. If the item is missing online, it doesn’t necessarily mean that we don’t have it anymore – we just might not have added it to the web shop yet. Please contact us so that we can provide you with detailed information.
